The treasury and economic history since 1945

This MA module at King’s College London is offered through a collaboration between HM Treasury and the university's Department of Political Economy. Co-taught by Dr Jon Davis, Ed Balls and former Permanent Secretary to the Treasury Lord Macpherson, this module studies the role and actions of the Treasury and its Chancellors since the Second World War up to the present day, through the context of the British economy.

The class is taken by Treasury officials alongside King’s MA students. The module is part of the MA in Politics and Contemporary History at King's. You can read more about the Treasury class here.
